Anti Bot Protection (foxnetsoft.com)

Even though I have Captcha turned on, for some time now my site has been getting a trickle of these fake registrations with bizarre names and always "google" as the company name. I could go through and occasionally delete them, no big deal. Lately I've been flooded with these annoyances, so I looked for an automated solution. This plugin has worked wonderfully in preventing these fake registrations. Highly recommended!

Even though I had captcha activated, I lived with junk emails for years. And recently I discovered that I had thousands of fake customers registered in my nop commerce database. I'm already using FoxNetSoft's PayPal plugin which works very nicely, especially for recurring payments. So I reached out to them for a solution.  This is perfect. Get it!

I was getting desperate until I came across this anti-bot plugin! On a daily basis I used to have 20-30 fake customer registrations as well as the fake newsletter subscribers. It was super annoying as I had to clean the customer and subscriber database daily in order to keep the mailing list clean. Once I have installed this plugin, the number of fake registrations dropped drastically. Great thing with this plugin is that it is easily configurable, so you can block new bot domains within seconds.  I still receive some spam through the contact-us form, but I don't really think that the purpose of this plugin is to block it, as it would require much higher level of sophistication that you find probably only in the mail browsers.

After installing it, I've been mostly bot-free. Sometimes, bots still manage to get in my website and leave behind annoying forum spams, but it's infrequent enough for me to only need to check once a week at most.

Note that I've also blocked the IP of the bots so a higher number of bots might manage to slip in for others. However, I don't think the effects of blocking IPs were significant enough as the spammers kept getting in with different IPs anyways.

This bot has helped prevent spam accounts and bots from accessing our website, every NopCommerce website should be using this plugin.
