This is a simple utility plugin with only one job. When there is only one Product in a Category (not one on a page, just one for the whole Category) then it will redirect the User to the Product in question. This is a 302 temporary redirect, meaning when you add more products to the Category this extension will do nothing and the user will experience the Category page as usual. This is useful in a number of scenarios from having an initially limited product range to having a complex or SEO friendly Category hierarchy without having the Customer click multiple times to get to a Product. There is a settings page provided allowing you to enable or disable this functionality, it requires no other plugins or configuration, nice and simple.
