I agree....
It's acceptable to announce a new product (commercial or free plugin), but it should be done in the forum Community Commercial Product Announcements, not in this "Showoff" forum. It's even acceptable to reply to that original post when you have a new version / mention a new feature of that plugin, but...
it's not acceptable to "advertise" your old plugins in the forums. (even though vendors were impacted by the marketplace change.)
Also, (IMHO) it's not acceptable to reply to posts with just "We can help you ... please check your PM", when the post is not specifically asking for commercial help. If you can't help by responding with some information, a link to an existing plugin, some SQL workaround, or even " ... it needs customization", then go ahead and send your PM anyway, but the community does not need to know about it.
