order id jupt form 940 to 1940

hi
the order id in mt site jumped from  940 to 1940  

now i looked at the DB table design and data it dosent look like some one messd with the data
so what could it be?
application bug?

Maybe someone changed the OrderId in the order settings or in SQL

I have experienced the same in a shop based on 2.80 the order jumped from 1382 to 2381 there were about 80 minutes between the two orders.

I haven´t had time to investigate but I think it´s very strange.

Admin>configuration>settings>order>order settings tab:   in the last setting of the list (click on the link of my previous post to see it on admin demo)

i had the problem again!!

from 1951 to 2950

now i am using V2.7
so i dont have the option to change the  in the settings

what can i do ?

can i set my order id back to 941
will it remmber to jump over the number that are already there?

Yes you can, BUT you will have a problem with the orders higher than 941 that already exist when the order id reaches them.
