I am using IX-Webhosting at the moment and I am very satisfied with them. Until now I only had one problem and the support of them was great so that I could solve the problem within one day. I think they are not the cheapest on the market but they are definitely worth the money. I can recommend them and I also know that friends of mine also use IX Webhosting and they are also satisfied.

MochaHost is a pathetic host, they have Tech Monkeys for support people. I would not recommend anyone to go for their cheap hosting plans as I have been burnt by them.

I still have an account with them as they wont refund my money, if you are thinking of MochaHost please contact me and I will give you real tickets that I have submitted.

Their Online Help is essentially a sales chat, there is no phone number to contact them and the Tech Monkeys will always 1st blame you even if something was wrong at their end.

If you want hosting that will make your websites really, REALLY fast.

Go with WorldStream. Get a dedicated Windows server.

Obviously, good options, require more money.

I had one with them for Linux. Boy it was fast (just thinking about it, make me hate my current host).

I was hoping someone would bring this up ... Last year I was with GoDaddy.  I was not real unhappy with them but they were not keeping up with technology so I decided to move on.  I decided to go with Arvixe because they were nopCommerce reccomended and they have real good prices for what they offer.  I found that my nopCommerce sites were a lot faster with Arvixe ... a lot faster!  As of about a month ago I started having a lot of issues in the control panel.  Make a new domain, get an error.  Make a new site, get an error.  Change web site properties, get an error.  When these errors occur there is nothing that can be done by the user to resolve the issue other than request tech support.  Each RED error you get will get you an hour with a chat tech.  The nopCommerce versions I have up and running on Arvixe are 1.9, they are lightening fast ... well 2-4 seconds anyway.  However, with the new v2.0, I am finding dial-up speeds for initial loads 30-45 seconds.  I am not sure if it is the hosting company or the new version.

I use BizHostNet for my hosting company http://www.bizhostnet.com/.

Unlike most of the responses, we decided to go with a Virtual Private Server (VPS). That gives us complete control.  For example, if .NET 4.0 isn't installed, we can just install it on the server.  The VPS requires that you know how to manage a server, but you have complete control over every aspect.  As you might expect, having a VPS will be more expensive.  We pay $55/month for two IP addresses, 40Gb HD 1Mb Memory.  That includes unlimited bandwidth.

We have had them for about a year and a half and the their claim of 99.95% uptime is accurate.  We have only had two down times in that time each lasting about 10-30 minutes.  They are real responsive with their tech support.

My two cents.

This morning I did something really stupid, and deleted the wrong website from my hosting account. The last time something like this happened it was painful. I was with softsys back then and they charged $50 to restore (even though there plan states "nightly backups"), which is almost year of hosting at my new place (Arvixe). Well today was not as painful as before. I just got on the chat, talk to someone at Arvixe and they quickly restored my site for FREE!!! So glad, so glad, I moved. It was like finding $50 in my pocket.

I would like to know what would be considered "the best hosting for nopCommerce".  The requirements have changed since 2.0.  What are the new requirements to qualify as a good host?

1) Which is your hosting company ?

Winhost: www.winhost.com

2) Have you ever faced any issues with your hosting server ?

Yes, with Nop 1.9 there was a time when the store froze up because the SP that loads all the products has a big threshold against the database, Winhost has a 2500 threshold limit so I had a store down for 1 whole day while trying to figure out how to change the code in the SP since obviously Winhost won't change a shared DB server parameter for everybody just because of my problem.

3) How much you pay to your hosting company ?

USD 4.95 per month (three months in advance)

4) Is your hosting company the cheapest one out of all the recommended hosting servers for nopcommerce ?

I believe so, I haven't researched too much but that price I believe is the cheapest for a full Windows server based hosting I've ever used, and they have plenty if services included.

5) How is the speed of your website on your server ? Is is ok ? or Very Good ? or Slow ?

Is Ok

6) Does your hosting company offer full trust ? If yes then please tell me you had to specially ask hosting company to give full trust or they offer full trust by default ?

Yes it does, just change the web.config and that's it.

7) Does your hosting company support 4.0 framework ?

Yes it does.

I gotta' chime in here and say Arvixe is total GARBAGE.  If you just want to dork around and have a shopping cart that you don't need to rely on for business, then yeah they're fine.  But if you need your site to be UP forget about it.  I will say they have best in class customer service, someone always answers the phone and they know how to fix stuff.  And nopcommerce works on arvixe and is RELATIVELY painless to set up.

But it's NOT RELIABLE at all.  You're on a shared server and DAILY someone else will take your site down.  Not for hours, it's back up quickly, but I'm trying to run a business, it can't be down at all.

The only solution they offered was to upgrade to the "business class" plan.  Which is $27 not $5.  I don't know what you call that, I call it bait-and-switch.  Now you could argue that a business needs a business plan.   ....but I only average 100-200 visits a day to my site.  F*%k's sake man it can't handle THAT??  I'm a SMALL business, barely making a living, I can't afford $327/year instead of the $60/year I thought I was getting.  I don't really think I have the traffic to justify the $27 plan.  And I wouldn't $%$$% need to if the #$!@# $5 plan would just do what it's supposed to and STAY UP.  99% uptime, my ass.
