Hi,

My client has got an e-mail from pay pal that they are changing some configuration at their end.

Please check the link https://www.x.com/content/ip-address-expansion-paypal-services  for more information.

My client is using Nop Commerce 1.80 > Payment method as "PayPal Standard"

Can you please let us know if we need to do any changes at our end?

Thanks and Regards,
Shirish Sharma

Your store looks up PayPal by URL using DNS so this is not affected in nopcommerce, the changes are transparent to your store.

PayPal returns the IPN message to your store the same way using a lookup of http://www.yourStore.com/Plugins/PaymentPayPalStandard/IPNHandler. As your store is listening on http(s) there should not be a problem unless there is a firewall which will most likely be open to allow the IPN anyway.

So, in simple terms, if your store is hosted then there is nothing to worry about and you don't need to change a thing.
If your store is on a private corporate network there is also nothing to worry about unless you restrict public access to specific IP addresses and store pages
