Hi All,

Is there a way in nopcommerce to split orders into separate shipments?

For example, my packing box can only hold 2 products but I have an order for 10 can the order some how be broken down into 5 different shipments?

Many Thanks

Sure. You can create as many shipments on the order details page (admin area) as you need

Thanks but I cant see how you can split an order of 10 products into 10 separate shipments? I seem to be only able to create one shipment from an order.

In admin>orders>edit (your order)>shipping info tab>add shipment button (left below) you can create as many shipments as you want. Just change to zero quantity  products not included in the shipment.

Hi,

Is it possible for the customer to do this?
We have a requirement where the customer should be able to split an order in several shipments depending on the urgency.

For example he wants products x and y delivered by tomorrow, while a, b and c can be delivered next week.

No, it's not possible for customer to do unless he creates multiple orders.

Does anybody know of a plugin that provides this functionality?

Seeing that this is possible in the backend, we could probably develop something like this quite easily. Any thoughts?

Not so easily.  There is only one ShippingRateComputationMethodSystemName field and one ShippingMethod field on the Order (Not the Shipment).

Okay. So what you are saying is that the orders need to be split anyway? Is that how it is done in the backend?  I havn't had time to dive into the code.

Maybe it is something that could be done behind the scenes.
