I tested it on my website, because when we registers with any Live Chat software company/website, they provide us, the <Script> Tag code for the button that shows available / offline, and we can place that anywhere on page, like in Topics we can place the code in Fckeditor if we want it on page, or we can place it in other sections too in info.ascx area etc.
So i guess it doesn't make any difference with Live Chat feature in 1.5 version
