When FCKeditor was taken out from nopCommerce, it took the ability to add in images easily for clients. With this I decided to go about building an easy to use image manager for CMS stuff.

1) CKeditor integration - loads as fast as current editor, is no-where near as clunky as original FCKeditor.

2) Classic image browser we are all used to integrated. Clicking browse opens a pop up shown in images 3/4:

3) Uploading a new image - choose file, choose category click upload. After uploading the image displays below. You have two options;
      1) Enter a size that you want in pixles (creates a new image based on width and stores in FS)
      2) Get original URL - the size uploaded by the client originally.

4) Search - search images previously uploaded, same option as three.

5) When clicking Get URL or Get Original URL the image is placed in the editor

If there is enough support from the community for this I will package it up in to its own lib as an add-on, or if nopCommerce is interested I can pass the code for this to them for integration into 1.6

Let me know who is in favour, or any features missing.

New image management tool will be available for the current editor in the next release

Cool - thanks for letting me know.

Is there a way you can get the current editor not to copy in HTML when copy and pasting?

If you look at the output HTML of the editor it is pretty messy, unless I am doing something wrong?

@thought
Did you manage to create a packade for CKEditor? It would be really helpful if you would share your work and experience.
Thanks / Kristoffer

I haven't had time just yet, there are a few things that I will release when I get enough time:

1) Lucene.net searching - indexed search/facet drill down
2) Better image editing
3) In-line editing of products.

Literally flat out at the moment but I shall release these items as soon as possible.

Is there any chance you can make it work for News and Blog as well?
