I am wanting to make 3 products in my store be download delivery when they are purchased. they are PDF files and I would like to execute the delivery as a download after checkout. our store has been up and running for a few years and I am not sure if that function was programmed in. I see I have download as a feature to control an individual product in my store, but to get it to work is another story. I can configure it, add my download link and go through the process, but when I go to the link, it's a completely different (and therefore broken) link then what I had set in the store. I would like to take advantage of this feature for 3 products. Do I need to create a new store to segment these out differently? Can I get a bit of guidance in how to best set this up within my current framework w/out having to create a 2nd store to manage?

Hello-

Did you read the documentation?
http://docs.nopcommerce.com/display/en/Downloadable+product

Depending on which version you are running, it might be a bit different than what they describe, but I'm running 3.40 and have had no trouble with getting it to work for only one or two products in my inventory. Are you uploading the file or just inputting the URL?
If URL, be sure to input the entire URL, including the http://

I have version 3.9

I've tried both ways. the problem I'm getting is the order goes through and generates a linked document, but the link it is creating isn't the link I set to the file. I have tried setting a link and uploading a file both and, honestly, thought they we a two-part configuration. Store the file and then link to it.
Since that didn't work, I have also tried linking directly to the file on my server

I will revisit the linked document and see what I'm missing or not configuring correctly. thanks for your reply.

Can you share what the link is that is shown to the customer after purchase?

Maybe you have a "terms of service" page displaying prior to allowing customer to download...is that the page you land on when you click the link? If so, they need to check the box, then they will see the download link..or you need to remove the terms of service requirement.
