FedEx error--The request failed with HTTP status 413: Request Entity Too Large

Using nop 1.5 and have a problem when the cart exceeds a certain number of SKUs. this starts happening around 100 SKUs. We were testing for a 350 SKU order with about 400 items.

The request failed with HTTP status 413: Request Entity Too Large

I assume almost that the total volume of the order is submitted as 1 huge package to FedEx and comes back to us with this error as it would exceed the biggest package size. Spoke with FedEx support and they said we have to break up the request into standard size shipping boxes.

Any ideas/help?

The NopCommerce FedEx shipping module does split the request into multiple packages if the package is too large (by weight or dimensions). However, since the error is an HTTP error (413: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2616#section-10.4.14), it appears that the FedEx server is rejecting the request because the request itself is too large -not the package size.

Thanks for the reply. Once we went to production status and created another large order we didn't get that error any longer.
We have no a new problem that the rates are too high for which I am creating another post.
