How do i safely remove all unwanted features like Payment.* or Blogs...

Hello All,

Newbie questions.

Let's say i just want to support GoogleCheckout or AuthorizeNet, how do i go about safely removing all other Payment.* modules,
or
I don't want to support Blogs (for e.g.) because my client sees no need for it in their current Biz plan.

Could some one please point me to a thread (if this topic is already addressed) or point me in the proper direction.
It's OK to go as technically deep as required, i am comfortable with it.

My intention is to make it lean and mean for myself to maintain site(s) for my client(s)
Less code, less headaches, reduced footprint...
Or
It's not necessary, just go with the full install.

Hi, you can disable blog in admin by going to

content management --> blog --> blog settings   and untick ' Blog enabled: '     - remember to save


to remove a payment method, go to
configuration --> payment --> payment methods

click the ' edit ' button on the one you don't want then click ' delete '

though personally, I think its best just to leave them all there, that way they can be used as and when the client may desire - they won't be displayed to the public if they are set as inactive
