changing stock quantities of existing products

hi,
does anyone know of an easy way to change the quantities of existing products?
its really time consuming to go into each one and edit the stock level in the SKUs...

You should be able to export the products into excel, make your quantity changes and re-upload.

would that not duplicate the products?
and would it keep the images?

Hi,

One thing I don't understand regarding stocks releated to SKUs.

As I see quantity concerns variants, and that's ok.
But attributes, such as colors and sizes, actually describe different physical products, each with it's own stock qty.
I don't find any connection between attributes and stock.
Is it correct (and so it's impossible to use attributes because, e.g., a red XXL t-shirt is out of stock while t-shirt of the same SKU are available) or I can't find how to match SKUs to attributes asd stock?
