Hi,
I switched on usernames in the backend.  It logged me out and I don't know the admin username to log back in!  How do I modify the database to turn usernames back off so I can log in?

Stuck,

Rather than turning it off, I simply browsed the database and my username was in plain text '[email protected]'.  Job's a good 'un.  Thanks for the sounding board!

Let's assume you were using admin@yourstore as your admin email address.

Now if you configure your website from admin section to use "Username", the [email protected] will act as your username unless you set a different username.

You can try logging by using your email address as your username.

If still you are having some problems then go to your database > Nop_Customers > Find your name in the table and enter the desired username in the "Username" column and then login with the new username - It should work!
