Product Links for Affiliates

I'm hoping someone can help us out with affiliate links.

Is it possible for an affiliate to link to a specific product? If so, how should that link be constructed?

No not without customisation
By default when an affiliate is setup and a customer accesses the site via the affiliate link then the sales of all products are tagged
Or maybe one of these plugins can help ?

Sorry, my question was not very clear. What I meant was for the affiliate to provides links to his followers to a specific product as an entry point (instead of the homepage), not just for a single product.

In case anyone else is looking, I found by inserting the product page between the / and the ? works for what I am trying to achieve.

For example:
http://www.adventuregear.ca/copper-spur-hv-ul4-tent-big-agnes?affiliate=testy
