TriarLogic is working on this and they are planning to keep it updated with each new NC release so stay tuned. Contact them if you'd like to test it.

This is good news hope the small issue in 3.00-3.10 have been addressed.

On your site you have the following text: "PayPal Express Plugin originally developed by the nopcommerce team for 3.1". Actually it's not true. The original plugin was contributed by one of our solution partners here. It was done for version 3.00. And we just upgraded it to the next version (3.10). So could you please fix the description?

UPDATE: I think if these guys make some changes to the original plugin, then it's better to include the entire source code. It'll allow other developer to continue development when they drop its support

Hi Andrei,

I'll ask them to make those changes as well as a few others I've found while testing.

FYI to anyone following the product link mentioned, this plugin is not released yet and testing should be completed today (1/5) with official release to follow. I wouldn't suggest using plugin files obtained before 1/6 in a live store.

We've just upgraded this plugin to version 3.20. Please download it here if you're interested

P.S. Please note that no additional changes have been done to the original plugin. It's just the upgrade of the existing 3.00 plugin

Can we get the source or upload it as a project on Codeplex?

If people are complaining about issues, maybe they can fix them if they have the code.  Also, it would have been easier to upgrade it for my client as I just finished upgrading it a couple days ago.

Actually it's already included in link I posted above. The package contains both source-code and no-source-code (ready to deploy) versions

Sorry, my bad.

I know that, since I have the source, I can look for it, but has anyone else encountered that the Handling Fee is not being added?  Both with and without "Handling Fee Is Percentage:" ticked.

Thanks

When I first tried this the PayPal button would not submit. This I found was due to having a form tag nested within another form tag.

The existing Checkout button is within a form tag and the PayPal Express button is added in the "addon-buttons" section of OrderSummary.cshtml.

However, even after moving the addon-buttons to outside the form tag I am getting an error "An error occured setting up your cart for PayPal"

I am now investigating this error but first impressions are this plugin does not work - am I missing something.

Thanks, that explains the issue I'm having as well. When updating this plugin to correct these remaining issues, can you please update the button displayed on desktop sites to PayPal's latest express checkout button that doesn't include a line about it being safer than other payment methods I offer?

MUCH appreciated for everybody's help on this because I can't update my site to 3.2 until this is ready.

SIDE NOTE RE WIDGET ZONE button placement: while this plugin has definitely improved impulse sales on my site by being an option on the cart page, it seems to be missing a key site-integration function that improves sales even more drastically - that is to allow it to work from Widget Zones such as product details pages, checkout payment methods (I'd rather use this than standard PayPal method) and it should be available on popup product & cart detail screens. Sales on my old cart system nearly doubled when the express checkout button was placed next to the "Add to cart" button, etc.
