The 2.x Topic editor does not have an image upload.
1) Where should images be manually uploaded to?  \Content\Images?  \Theme\<mytheme>\Content\Images?
2) What exact url should be put in the HTML editor so that the picture appears:
a) in the editor?
b) in the topic page?
c) works for localhost too?

bump

uploading images to topics and blog posts is kinda critical for any relevant content editor.

Ideally topics and blogs should all utilize the weblog api so updates can be made via windows live writer.

This image browser can be used (but it requires some code changes) - http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-mvc/razor/editor/imagetool. The work item is already created. Please vote

Thanks for the quick reply!
Does money speed up work items?
Also has there been a work item submitted for weblog api for use with WLW?

Cheers,

No further blog changes are planned in the near time.

P.S. I've just added the image browser. It'll be available in the next release. See changeset -

Thanks!  It works great.

One thing to be aware of - if a developer is working on a local system (with intent to publish) and uploads images to topics, etc., they will not get published automatically. (i.e. files added externally to the  ...\Contents\Images\uploaded folder do not automatically get included in the VS project )
