We have a product that will be available for sale now, but will not be delivered for several months (won't be manufactured until then). We plan to pre-sell the product and would like to offer an option where a digital "Certificate" can be downloaded and printed along with the purchase.
The idea being that the certificate could be printed off and given as a gift (IE: stocking stuffer, etc...).
Can I attach a digital download as an option to a physical product?
Perhaps to better clarify this, I know I can make a "Downloadable Product", but if I do that then it will be processed as complete as soon as the payment is processesed. We want to permit the download after the purchase, but we still need to fill the order when it becomes available to ship.
