I have just upgraded my site from 1.9 to 2.6.
I have set 301 permanent redirect for all urls.
For example:
my old url for the pedicure chairs category:
http://www.uspedicurespa.com/category/29/spa-pedicure-chair.aspx
redirect to
http://www.uspedicurespa.com/c/29/spa-pedicure-chair
Everything was fine until I added a vietnamese language and its url for this category is
http://www.uspedicurespa.com/c/29/ghế-spa
Now Google dropped all my urls in English and only indexed the ones in vietnamese.
I don't know what's going on.
Could someone please help??

I had a similar issue, well sort of! I upgraded the site on a test server and then when I was happy that everything was fine I replaced the 1.6 site with the 2.6 - Google has picked up the products off the tear site and is ranking them much better than the actual site.
Could you tell me how you set up your 301 redirects for all of your pages please. I need to set up redirects from all my pages i.e:
http://www.inform2.com/testshop26/p/1023/agv-skyline-block
to
http://www.mandsmotorcycles.co.uk/shop/p/1023/agv-skyline-block
Can you do a global redirect?
regarding your issue, do your English page versions still appear in Google? it may be worth a go re-submitting the site to google
