We're looking for something like following extension:
Product Specification Value Mod

Sad thing is that it only supports NC 1.9. Although there is a new feature (link below) implemented in NC 2.8:
Add ability to specify values for specification attributes for products

Still, the custom value for specification attributes doesn't provide a good solution for this. Normal user should be able to directly upload document pdf files.

The ftp workaround might work if I worked with the site myself. But since the shop administrator is not a "computer" guy that is not an option.
There are so many advantages to have files associated with a product. Easy upload by editors, possibility to build a search, css based presentation etc.

I believe this is very important feature for lots of ecommerce user and it has been raised several times in the forum when I search this topic.
We definitely would like to pay for this extension if there is any compatible version works with NC 2.8.
