configure checkout for downloadable product to skip shipping

All my products are downloadable. None of my products require shipping.

I would like to configure checkout to not prompt for shipping address or to prompt for shipping method.

Shipping is not necessary for downloadable product.

Is it possible to configure the checkout process this way?

Yes, this is supported.
If no products require shipping, then the shipping method selection page is skipped.
For every product variant, uncheck field "Shipping enabled:".

I found that suggestion to another question in the forum, and I tried it, but, when I purchase that product, the one page checkout still asks for shipping address and shipping method.

I double checked the product variant page to make sure that the checkbox for Shipping Enabled is unchecked.

Shipping Enabled is unchecked.

Is there anything else I can do?
