Changing Image Based on Color Selected

Is there anyway to change the image from one color to another?  Say if the product shows black when the product page is loaded.  Then the user selects brown. Is there a way to switch the image to brown or do I have to add another product and default that image to the brown color?

No, this option is not implemented. You should better to add new product variant.
