Suggestions for more products to customers like Amazon ?

Is there a feature in nopCommerce to allows for us to suggest items to customer? exactly like what Amazon does when you buy something... You buy one thing, then the Amazon system suggest you buy something else, that you need (a complement).

If yes please tell me how to configure it from admin panel or from in code?

nopCommerce comes with a similar feature called "cross sell products". When a customer adds products in the shopping cart - during the checkout, the cross sell products shows up saying. You can show the products as "you might be interested in this product" like a suggestion.

For example: You can have a product called "HP Laptop", now when you add another product like "power cord".

Now from the admin section, you can add "power cord" as a related product for "HP Laptop".

Now if a customer is buying "HP Laptop", during the checkout process, he/she will see "power cord" as a cross sell product saying something like "you might be interested in buying this" .


Setup process:

You will see a tab "Cross-Sell" > Go to the tab and add products like that in your store.

Its not worked well for me, when i added related products in my store these products did not show in checkout page or in any section in shopping cart.
if i need to configure something else?

So what you are talking about is cross sell product because related products only shows in product detail page but cross sell products show in shopping cart.

I am sorry, I didn't mention about "Cross sell" products in my previous post by mistake (instead I typed "related")

Yes. Cross sell products shows up during checkout process.

Related products shows up on product page at the bottom.
