Editing postage

Not sure if this has bee covered before as I couldn't find much when searching but I need to edit the postage module slightly:

When selecting weight and country nop commerce has no range in the weight it calculates it exactly, I want to edit it so its a range for example:

0kg - 5kg £5
5kg - 10kg £10

Currently if I set a weight of a product 2.5kg the postage will be less then £5

How could I edit it so nop accepts the range?

hi paul, out of the box, the shipping by weight method is calculated  on a per kilo  basis

thanks for the reply, we did try this but ended up with a site error, the only thing we need to do is remove the 'x weight' nothing else needs to be added here?

thats all there is to it - you must recompile the site after the change.
