since turning on image seo names will change the names of all the product names, does anyone have a simple solution for adding redirs for the old images to the new ones? I have images indexed by google that I'll want to redir to the new image name once I turn this on.
I agree. This is essential to SEO. For example, the major search engines include Images in their search results in an image results section and also in the standard image search. If the image url no longer works, then the image will not be ranked at all and potential leads will not find your site.
