Featured products

Can i know how to display Featured Products in HomePage?
I know in admin site there is an option called "is featured product? under Category Mappings tab for Products"
I set that to true.
But still I do not see them in the homepage.( I am using Version 2.3 and downloaded the sample data while installing)

Go to admin side.
there u can select option by fallowing this process
Configuration-->Settings-->Catalog Settings
There U can enable option "show best sellers on home page"
