upgrade 2.65 to 3.0

I try to upgrade from 2.8 and get the same error message as your last post. Is someone solved it?
Yes I run the upgrade script and my connection string seems really OK

Hi,

I managed to solve my issue, I wasn't following all the instructions in the readme.txt file

1. Backup your existing database
2. Execute upgrade.sql script over your database
3. Remove all files from the previous version except App_Data\Settings.txt and App_Data\InstalledPlugins.txt
4. Upload new site files
5. Copy back App_Data\Settings.txt and App_Data\InstalledPlugins.txt files
6. Ensure that everything is OK

I initally thought that steps 3-5 were not needed but you will need to download the source for version 3.0 and do these steps. I would make sure you keep a backup as I also needed to copy over css stuff and then modify as layout classed had changed but nothing major.
