I'm getting an identical error - even down to the exact gobbledygook/guid/temporary/whatever script name.
I'm not sure it's causing a problem, but it'd be nice to know for sure - or best, fix it :)
Any pointers appreciated,
Chris

I'm seeing it too. I thought that it was something to do with the file upload button on one of my products, but I think its generated on the home page too.

These errors will only occur if you have CSS and Javascript bundling switched on in the site SEO settings. When these are switched on then the individual CSS and/or JS files are combined into a single file to reduce the number of requests, and the contents are minified to reduce the file size. These are served from virtual URLs like this one:
The random looking string is the virtual file that has all your other javascript files packed into it.
The answer to this post on stack overflow has a possible explanation of why the errors occur. Basically the bundle requests are being passed to the usual MVC routing engine instead of being handled by the Web.Optimization code.
I've only ever seen these errors immediately following an Application Start event in the nop logs (and only very occasionally). If I've managed to trigger the error then I see the site completely unstyled since the CSS has failed to load.
I tried the fix suggested on Stack Overflow of adding a call to System.Web.Optimization.PreApplicationStartCode.Start(); to the application Start event handler, but I still see the error occasionally. Seems like it's just a .NET bug for the time being.
