Hello, I have been trying to find an answer for this question on the boards but have not been able to find anything as of yet. A client of our wants to know is the different attributes for a product are able to be counted stock wise.
For example the customer is selling purses with different colour options. She would like to have with purse "A", a drop down menu which shows the available colours for the purse, but make sure that the quantities of each colour do not sell out before a customer orders it. Basically she would like to set the quantity for each available colour.
This apparently will be a deal maker or breaker for us and this client so any help from the forums would be greatly appreciated, Mike.
The only way to make this work (to my knowledge) is to set up separate product variants for each color purse. The downside of this is that the product page will have 'x' number of purses with separate buy buttons for each.
Inventory/Stock management for product attributes is the only feature missing from nopCommerce. IMHO.
I am kicking around some ideas to implement this, but there are quite a few hurdles.
Has there been any developments on this front? I'm looking to implement the same function as above. I have a part number (sku) which is available in 2 different colors but I have differing quantities for both. Thus, if one colour is selected and the stock is '0' a "Out of Stock" message is displayed.
Is there also the ability to display a different picture once a colour is selected?
