Timeout Expired Error on install

When I install the Nopcommerce Application, I get an error:

An error occured: Timeout expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
Running scripts from file: D:\inetpub\vhosts\gotfreesoft.com\httpdocs\install\Scripts\nopCommerce_createData.sql
Running scripts from file: D:\inetpub\vhosts\gotfreesoft.com\httpdocs\install\Scripts\nopCommerce_createDatabase.sql

Any ideas what is wrong?
This is a brand new 2008 Server, install Nopcommerce and SQL 2008 Express via Microsoft's Web Platform Installer.

P.S. Brand brand new to nopcommerce, want to set it up with sample data.

A quick fix would be to run a manual install

run in the following order found in the install/scripts folder  

nopCommerce_createDatabase.sql
nopCommerce_createData.sql
nopCommerce_createSampleData.sql

Update ConnectionStrings.config to relflect database connection string.

I can now see the site locally with all the sample items.
