In version 4.2 when you click on a main category that has multiple subcategories, it would display all the categories as well as the products on the page. As you click on the subcategories it would then just filter the products to that 2nd level subcategory.
In 4.3, that feature is no longer available. Why would you have a option in catalog settings "Include products from subcategories" when that doesn't work anymore.
If you had a category tree of 5 levels with only one product, no one wants to click on every category subcategory and until you get to the 5th one to see the product.
This is a terrible change in the upgrade to 4.3 or an oversight.
Does anyone know what I can do to make it available to "Include Products from Subcategories"?
I'm not a programmer but Much help would be greatly appreciated.
Are you using source code or no source version of NopCommerce? It appears they may have fixed this very recently in the source code see #4862 Fix loading products from subcategories in the repository on GitHub. If your using source code you can add the fix manually and recompile the site, reupload to your server. But as you stated your not a programmer. This bug has been added to the version 4.40 release pending. There may be someone who can do it for you and provide the new compiled dll files to replace yours.
I used the no source code when I uploaded. I'll take a look at the bug fix and see if I can do it. Do you know what the name of the file is that was modified for the fix?
