Ajax Trendy shoes store theme. Any experiences?

Hi,

Did anyone buy the Ajax Trendy shoes theme from www.osshop.biz? It looks great when you click on the "Experience it live"-link.

But I have a few questions:
- The static pictures are not in line with the live site. What do you get when you buy it?
- Any experiences with maintenance by www.osshop.biz?
- I dont get any reply from them. Are they still in business?

Yes, we've used the theme. I will say a few things here and I hope this will start a discussion involving Larry as he is never to be found on his "official" skype contact.

1. The theme is really good in terms of doing what it is advertised to do. We have not found any serious problems with it.

2. However there are quite a few places where database queries for the filters are sent to the database using a StringBuilder. Now I suspect this is done in order to achieve separation of the theme code from the NopCommerce code base. But I am very suspicious about its performance in a production environment. This is one of our biggest worries at the moment and I would really like to get Larry's opinion on this one.

3. If you plan to do just HTML\CSS (design) changes to the theme then you will be fine. If you plan do extend the theme in terms of functionality be prepared for a lot of javascript and effort trying to figure it out.

Please note our experience with the theme is not substantial. Therefore the above is just our thoughts so far. Let's hope we can have a discussion here with Larry and other people that have been using the theme.

Thnx 4 info. It matches my impression: nice piece of work of them but requires some strong technical know-how because of it's complexity and especially because they seem to be quite absent (or busy) so you're on your own. Hope all is ok with Larry.

We bought this theme and now we are finding out lots of bugs as we are planning to use it for production. The featured Products goes over to multiple lines once you add more than 150 products. Also the heading text of product attribute gets messed up after adding more than one product attribute in the product variant.

I have tried to contact the support but never got any reply back from anyone. If you are planning to use this template, please be aware of that there are bugs in the template and there is no support available if you are stuck.

This http://www.osshop.biz/ (Trendy shoes) sourcecode has many bugs and engine working very slow. We fixed many bugs, but engine is too very slow, so i recomend you to work with original sourcecode.
Larry is always offline or busy and ignore any message.
osshop.biz - not have any support.
