how do you delete the first and last name fields from the registration form?

Hi,

I tried to code out(<%-- --%>) the first/last name fields in customerinfo.aspx and customerregistration.aspx as another member recommended but it brought back a ton of errors.

Is there a way to remove the required FIRST AND LAST NAME FIELDS from the registration form that want return an error message upon submission?
