Search Function in 1.6

Hi All,

Does anybody know if there is an improved seach function in 1.6? With 1.5 (as with this forum) only literal search strings are supported.

I want to implement a multiple keyword search, but wanted to check the functionality of the new version first before undertaking the development. :-)

Hi,

Are you using 1.6?

When I searched for 'road abbey' - the search returned no results. I want to implement full key word search (words in any order).

Hi All,

I have checked the advanced search function on 1.6 and the search function is still for literal strings only.

Example: on the 1.6 demo site, searching for 'Rebel Digital' will not find 'Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera' - it will if you enter 'Digital Rebel'

I want to implement an any order keyword search - assume I can do this just by changing the SQL SP that the search control uses?
