SensuaVitality.com didn't just launch but we started at 1.3 and have since moved to 1.5. Looking at 1.6 or 1.7 in the near future.
We didn't stray too much from the nop default design but I think we did pretty good incorporating a regular .net site / NOP / and a wordpress blog.
