Shipping Advice

Can anyone help...

We have set shipping charges on our products such as:

Free            (5-7 day service)      FREE
Standard     (2-3 day service)      £6.50
Next Day     (0-1 day service)      £9.50
Off Shore     (2-3 day service)     £27.50
Saturday      (Saturday service)   £33.50

How could this be set up as I don't really want shipping to be defined by weight incase weight is not added to a product or unknown.

so if i understand correctly, you want all these option to show regardless


go to admin --> configuration--> all settings     and find

ShippingByWeight.CalculatePerWeightUnit                 (page 11 probably)

and set it to false   - remember to save




go to
admin-->configuration -->shipping-->shipping methods
create the methods
Free            (5-7 day service)      
Standard     (2-3 day service)      
Next Day     (0-1 day service)      
Off Shore     (2-3 day service)    
Saturday      (Saturday service)  

then go to
admin-->configuration -->shipping-->shipping rate computation method

select shipping by order weight - tick the 'published' checkbox    and   save


next, go to the configuration tab

set up the same  for all of the above methods eg


shipping method       from         to              charge amount  

Free                           0         5000                   0.00
Standard                    0         5000                    6.50
Next Day                    0         5000                    9.50

etc..

so, any weight in the cart will display the full range and amount  of all the options

im trying to set the "Shipping By Order Total" and thats the only thing thats active but this is the error i get when i try to check out.
Shipping options could not be loaded......

any ideas.
