Does NVMe make the site speed better?

5 ヶ月 前
Hola a todos!

Also I wanted to ask if NVMe would make the speed of site better?

Currently we have SSD 200 GB, but we can pay a bit more and have NVMe 200 GB. I've read that it is kinda faster, would it really make the site faster?

Also, I talked with my VPS server provider in Germany. They told me if I want to have NVMe, then they will change the data-center and my server IP would also be changed to another one.

So if I change data-center and IP address will it be bad for SEO? Because our site works for few years already and have some positions in google.es

nopCommerce does a lot of caching, so its hard to say if it would really help.
A CDN like Cloudflare might be better.
Also, where's your DB Server?  Same server?

Yes, it is all in the same server. Our site works fine. The speed is also good. I just want to make it even faster and better. Between, we have about 50 000 products on our website.

Maybe any more ideas to make the site speed better?

Consider putting SQL Server on a separate server, and using a CDN.

See 'guides' about optimizing / performance - e.g.,

But if I change SSD to NVMe SSD would it make it somehow faster at least for a little bit? In any case NVMe SSD is better in speed if we compare it with usual SSD?

As I mentioned before, "nopCommerce does a lot of caching, so its hard to say if it would really help".
I suppose you could try it.  (But if it does not help, is it worth paying for / can you switch back?)
