I think Nop team wants to mature their product first, makes sure that everything works perfectly before extending the platform to multi store or even a site portal... otherwise there would be more work to do every time they add features to the system like testing etc... to multi store.

I'll definitely try extend the platform to site portal once version 3.0 and .net 4.5 have released to be sure most of the needed features are available.

Would it be possible to add item 10318? This would help quite a bit with SEO so that the SERPs don't tag sites as having duplicate content.
