Please let me know what settings to use in order to properly setup a Gmail or GoDaddy Mail account.

Hi,
To send email with gmail, you have to set up nopcommerce like that:
Host: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 587
User: [email protected]
Password: yourpassword
check "enable ssl"
do not check "use default credential"
click save then try to send a test message
Some hosting companies do not allow sending email on port different that 25. Then a solution is to use the mail server from the hosting company.
