Discount code for guest - how does discount limitation work for guest?

I know how discount codes work for registered customer but how about for non-registered guest.

Is it possible to set discount limitation to 1 times per customer for guest checkout?

Will it really limit the discount code used per guest?

How does the discount limitation work for guest checkout?

It checks the IP address and validates??

It is possible with the “N times per customer” option, but we have to warn you that it would be not convenient to use it with guests role, because one guest can use it multiple times after clearing his/her cache because in that case a new guest record will be created.
