Product Image getting deleted automatically after some time

Hi,

I am uploading images from admin panel, but after some time (tentatively after 24 hours) it gets deleted from the thumb folder.

I am storing image in  "\Media\Thumbs\0000"  and saving path in database. Is it right location to save and fetch file ?


Is clearing cache deleting the physical files?


Note: not all images in that directory gets deleted. Only the files that exists in DB gets deleted
