Adding additional Pages

Is there an easy way, through administration tools, to add a new page and place a link on the main menu?  For example a static HTML page or a .NET page with some info (ie aboutus.htlm or aboutus.aspx)

If this can only be done by changing the code, where do I start?  

Is there any sample code to help me out get started?

Currently you would need to add a new page manually (it can be a standard html or aspx page - or any kind of document). Then you just link to this from whereever you want in your site i.e. http://youstore.com/about.html

CMS topics are already implemented in next version although you will still need to manually create the links to custom topics yourself (not difficult to do)
