HTTP Error while upload product images

When ever I am trying to upload an image for my product I am getting an error like http error. What could be the possible reason.

Image sizes vary from 300KB to 700KB. Please help its urgent....

What's the error?  Is there an error logged in System Log?

Thanks for the reply. The problem is resolved. There was limited space problem in database server.
