Hi,

To copy a product using the 'Copy product' button, the copy takes about 20 -30 minutes, and that puts the site slow!

Somebody have the same issue in nop3.9? Is it a bug with the 'Copy product' button?

Thank you,

Check System > Log for unusual errors.  Then delete all kind of old stuff, delete guest users.. (Is your scheduled task enabled?)

You can also try to shrink the database log file. Sometimes it's larger than database.

I don't think that the problem is with copying or with nopCommerce 3.90.

It always worked quire fast. Please test it on our demo site here.

What kind of product it is? Does it has a lot of "something"? For example, languages (localizable content), categories, attributes, etc?

the site contains shirts, for each shirt I use 14 attribute, each shirt is introduced in 4 languages, I use 13 categories and 30 sub categories.

do you think this can be the reason for this slowly?

thank you!

I am using 3.8 and copying products with many attributes and associated products takes a while. This would not be a problem in itself but it completely kills the performance of the front end as well whilst doing the copy.

I noticed that the worker process was taking the hit so my solution was simply to setup a new site in IIS just for doing these admin / large copy tasks. It works great with no performance hit on the front end.

Do you have any kind of customization on your site?

Have you tried this on the latest version since latest version always have performance optimization.

Yes, quite a bit of customisation, not tried on the latest version.
