Payment: Commit credit card, not charge it

I want to build an eshop and i would like to ask you a question.

When a client buys something, is there any way to commit the money from credit card, but not charge it, so the admin can charge it whenever he wants?

Yes, it's possible. Look at payment methods that supports Authorize option with further Capture support. For example,PayPal Direct supports it. Active and configure this payment method (just ensure that transaction mode is set to 'Authorize')
