SKU not updating in shopping cart for Associated Products

I cannot seem to get Associated Products to work they I want so not sure if I am using them incorrectly...

I have the following scenario:

1. created products A, B and C with SKUs of A, B and C respectively.
2. added a Product Attribute called Size to Product A.
3. product A has Size 2 associated to B and Size 3 associated to C.

When we add A to the shopping cart and select Size 3, I would expect the SKU for C to be added to the Cart.... but A is being added regardless of the Size option selected.

How do we get the Associated Product's SKU to be used instead?

I think you may need to use Attribute Combinations, and enter the SKU field in the combination.

Attribute Combinations look kinda promising but still don't seem to hit the mark, i.e. it still shows the SKU of product A regardless of the SKU of the selected combinations.

I have even tried removing the SKU values from Product A and the Attribute values just in case but to no success.

Could this be a bug?

What version of nopCommerce are you using?
