I'm having some trouble getting this plugin to work.
When I am on the nopCommerce site it says there's an IP Filter I can download. When I click download it takes me to the IP Filter page (still in nopCommerce). Clicking the Get Extension button opens a tab and does nothing. Address is https://www.nopcommerce.com/download-product/1783.
So, I went to FoxNetSoft.com and looked up their IP filter [Called IP Filter (Firewall) 3] and downloaded the trial. (https://www.foxnetsoft.com/nopipfilter)
Installation at this point is a little blurry (because this is my virgin go at it, the site has others - but they were installed prior to me taking on the site). I'd like some instruction on how to install it. Their website doesn't have installation instructions, but a how to setup after installation.
What I've attempted:
1. Extracted the 4.00 folder and zipped it back up. The import function on the site doesn't allow it. (×The archive should contain only one root plugin or theme directory. For example, Payments.PayPalDirect or DefaultClean. To upload multiple items, the archive should have the 'uploadedItems.json' file in the root)
2. Extracted the 4.00\FoxNetSoft.IPFilter folder and zipped it back up. The import function on the site doesn't allow it. (×The archive should contain only one root plugin or theme directory. For example, Payments.PayPalDirect or DefaultClean. To upload multiple items, the archive should have the 'uploadedItems.json' file in the root)
3. Manually added the FoxNetSoft.IPFilter and all it's files to wwwroot\Plugins folder. This crashes the site until I remove it. There is a different (FoxNetSoft.SocialLogin) plugin there, and we tested by manually adding a 3rd FoxNetSoft plugin, which worked and has since been removed.
I'm concerned the plugin we've downloaded isn't exact what nopCommerce is looking for, but the link on the nopCommerce site doesn't work.
That file foxnetsoft.ipfilter.zip is in the correct format for installation. If you are having problems, then Unblock the .zip file, and then 1) go to admin "Local plugins" 2) click the "Upload plugin or theme" button 3) click Choose File button, and select .zip file
You will need to "apply changes" or restart your site for plugin to be seen in the plugin list. Then you can click its Install button.
Weirdly enough, the link works now. I swear it hasn't worked for few days. I tried different browsers even.
Ok, so inside the zip folder, there are multiple versions, and a uploadedItems.json. Using the upload plugin feature crashes the site, and I have to delete the folders from Plugins.
Error:
An error occurred while starting the application. .NET Framework 4.8.4261.0 X86 v4.0.0.0 | Microsoft.AspNetCore.Hosting version 2.0.0-rtm-26452 | Microsoft Windows 10.0.14393 |
Do I purge all the folders and JSON file, except the version of our nopCommerce site (4.0)?
I just uploaded the zip file foxnetsoft.ipfilter to my v4.0 site no problems You could try stop start you webserver / application pool to clear everything Then try the upload plugin again The other directories for other versions in the package will not affect the upload
