I have developed an ecommerce solution 2 years ago (still using that) know for 3.5 i m thinking of about nopcommerce , my question is how much it is secure ? is it dependable or we have to implement our own security methods after deploying it
nopCommerce does a fine job with security. https is easy to implement and log files can be viewed for attempted or security threats. Also, you can ban a single ip address to a block of ip addresses.
I have used nopCommerce for 2 years and have had little problems with security issues.

Can you tell me how to block single and blocks of IP addresses in NOP? I didn't think it could do that???

Yes and No. Yes, for admin access we can restrict based on IP address. But for clients No.
But i have implemented IP blocking feature for our instance of nop commerce installation. Just added a Request Filter, which checks every request with a list of IP configured under admin security.
