GOOGLE CHANGING TO : use secure OAuth access

Hi Team ,

I am using Google Email to connect my store for Transactional and reminder Emails .
Starting September 30, 2024, Google Workspace accounts will only allow access to apps using OAuth. Password-based access (with the exception of App Passwords) will no longer be supported. POP and IMAP are NOT going away and can still be enabled with apps that connect using OAuth.

Is NOP TEAM working on this ? Is there a plugin of anything to solve this issue before 30th September.

That is good - However I have just upgraded to 4.6 .
It is a cumbersome process to upgrade with plugins and customizations .

I would like if it can be done in 4.6

You can manually apply the changes to version 4.60. Please see this work item and commits related to it (here is the main one)

Thanks for update - I would like to know whether NOP Engineers can
create a plugin to incorporate secure email authentication  for 4.6 .

I would like to avoid changing the source code.

I would switch to nopCommerce 4.70. nopCommerce 4.60 uses the Microsoft Framework .net 7.0. Framework .net 7.0 End of support May 14, 2024.
Your shop will then no longer be secure.
