I noticed when setting up a demo store that just setting GBP (British Pound) as my primary currency did not update the existing products from their default US Dollar prices.
To achieve this I had to disable the US Dollar currency.
Is this the correct behaviour?

Tested this a big further. It seems that the problem is to do with the currency selector at the top of the site. Even though the GBP was set to the highest display order, the currency dropdown list does not update. I presume this is cached somewhere.
It would seem the only way of clearing the cached data is to disable a currency. I tried clicking the "clear cache" link in administration and this made no difference.
